Get ready for our next installment of BKBX Unboxed: Anatomy of a Scene on Friday, May 15th at 8:00 PM! We’ll be exploring the epic space opera “Starship Excelsior: The Reboot,” from our 2015 mainstage show “ABOVE/BELOW.” Watch the original piece, then listen to the director’s commentary. Finally, join us for a live Q&A with the cast via Zoom! We’ll share all of the secrets (well, maybe not all) and give you the scoop on what it was like to make this piece. Check out our last BKBX Unboxed scene, “Plainview Players Presents,” to get in touch with your inner Shakespearean thespian. And while you’re at it, subscribe to our Youtube channel to see some onstage and backstage mime business.

Thanks to the beautiful support of our community, BKBX flew to the Minneapolis Fringe in August to perform Quiet Riot, our all-comedies pop-up show that premiered at the PIT in 2017! The reviews were outrageous; our brand new take on mime made us some fantastic new friends. Now that sweater weather is among us, we’re back in the city, back at the PIT, and proud to spend each Tuesday in November with an encore for our peoples!
Join us at 9pm ANY TUESDAY IN NOVEMBER for a Quiet Riot featuring Becky Baumwoll, Matt Zambrano, Regan Sims, David Jenkins, and Tasha Milkman.
Whether you’re an old friend or brand new to our work, you’re invited to jump into the deep end with best-of BKBX funny faves like “Dungeons & Dragons,” “The Whole Shebang,” and “Fifth Wheel.” Join us, laugh, and tell your coworkers saw a mime show…and then tell them to come the following Tuesday. See you in November!
Questions about the show, accessibility, or anything else? Email Becky at email@example.com
And as seen at the Minnesota Family Fringe, and in Tulsa, OK at The Gathering Place…
Our delightful children’s show, DESTINATION: EVERYWHERE, was chosen as one of 10 family shows to kick off the festival in “Family Fringe“, and also appeared in Tulsa, Oklahoma at a wonderful new park called the Gathering Place. Check out our Facebook for pics and posts!
An All-New Collection of Original Shorts
Broken Box Mime Theater (BKBX) activates their unique reinvention of throwback French pantomime to present a 90-minute collection of all-new stories that riff on the many layers of Skin: color, consent, border, point of contact, identity, a molting snake. There will be a Brooklyn beard competition, a dance of romance, and a sitcom gone awry. There will be wrestling and zombies. There will be lights, original music, and bodies telling each narrative, weaving them all into a singular evening of activated imagination and a dive into the deep deep
